Twenty miles from Bacolod City is an exciting bird watching site. Facing Guimaras Strait, the municipality of Pulupandan plays as a host to a great number of bird species, some of which are migratory.
Some of the bird species that can be found in Pulupandan are: Little Egret, Intermediate Egret, Black-winged Stilt or Common Stilt, Common Stern, Philippine Duck, Whiskered Tern, Pink-necked Green Pigeon, Purple Heron, and White-collared Kingfisher.
How To Get There:
- From Manila: take any Bacolod-bound flight of PAL and Cebu Pacific.
- From Bacolod: take a jeep going to Pulupandan.
- From Pulupandan: take a tricycle going to the birdwatching area in Sitio Caban, Barangay Tapong.
