Chasing Waterfalls: Kawasan Falls
Location: Matutinao, Badian, Cebu
Types: Tiered, Segmented, Fan horsetail
After my Dumaguete + Siquijor Group Tour, I went to Moalboal, Cebu for an ocular trip. I took the first Cebu-bound trip of Ceres so I arrived in this diving paradise early in the morning. Since scuba diving was not in my agenda, I went around the towns of Moalboal and Badian.
The owner of the hostel I checked in rented her motorbike at a discount. With the help of the locals, I found myself heading to the right directions and destinations.
After I have visited Panagsama and Basdaku Beaches and the town’s marine sanctuary, I headed to the national highway. No, I was not racing against time and the buses and other vehicles. I was taking a leisure ride to Badian instead, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the countryside.
An hour later, I found myself strolling on the road that leads to Kawasan Falls.
How To Get There:
- From Manila: take any Cebu-bound flight of PAL, Cebu Pacific, and Zest Air.
- From Cebu: take a Badian-bound Ceres bus at Cebu South Bus terminal. Travel time is around three hours.
